 Music & Yoga
 Background

I have combined these professional and experiential backgrounds, as I view them as intricately woven together, in my own music creations, and in how I guide my clients through opening their voice and highest potential.

Through my travels and study,  I have gathered a diversely rich background in vocals and world music, weaving the energetic principles of Kundalini Yoga into her teachings and practice.  My background is quite expansive and culturally-rich:  North Indian classical Raga, Western classical vocal technique , and traditional Eastern Romani styles, as well as South American and Zimbabwean indigenous songs. Most recent music projects are a fusion of live voice and electronic productions: Synergiea  & solo work, Lah Falkn.

I discovered Kundalini Yoga in Mt. Shasta, at age 19.  I have been a  K.R.I. certified Kundalini yoga teacher since 2008.   I founded Liberation Through Voice™, in 2011, out of a yearning to combine my own understanding of the path of Kundalini and how it supported my singing technique and experience.

In 2014, I completed 100 hours of Hatha Alignment Flow, as taught by B.K.S. Iyengar. This has informed my understanding of  Tantric philosophy, based in the scholarly and ancient mythos of Hinduism, and how it manifests in our day-to-day world, and can be embodied in our physical, mental, emotional beings.

My B.A. in Psychology; Global Wisdom Traditions and Spirituality  informs my work with clients, and how I choose to approach complex trauma patterns that arise. during my coaching sessions. I blend systems of Western cognitive-behavioral with Eastern mindfulness techniques,  all informed by somatic wisdom and the unraveling of the voice and expression.
